Lovely finish and easy to use Review by Liss

We got two cans of this to paint the cast iron fire surround in our new house, which was originally silver, but now an uncared-for shade of rust and tarnish.

Having very briefly sanded the fireplace, I, a complete novice with fires and spray paint, used this spray.

Despite my occasional clumping of spray, it's ended up brilliantly. Great coverage, lovely sheen and depth to the colour, and fireplace is now back in position and adding to the room, rather than detecting.

Took us ages to find a non-matt heatproof spray, and this is spot on. We only used one (full) can, too. (Posted on 12/12/2023)

Does this require the stove to be lit within a certain time to cure paint?

Would this work on the outside of a regular electric cooker??.. I would like to change the colour.

"In Stock" - If ordered before 1pm this will arrive Next Day if selecting a tracked delivery service or in 2 / 3 days if Royal Mail Second Class delivery is selected at checkout.

We will always endeavour to keep your orders on time, well packed and undamaged. You can expect from us:

Items to be securely packed with bubble wrap or an air bag system.
Boxes marked clearly if items are fragile or heavy.

REFUNDS & RETURNS

Custom or made to measure items are 100% non-refundable.

If the item is not what you wanted or doesn’t quite fit you can return it back to us for a full refund, the buyer must pay for and arrange for return delivery. All we ask is that you put your full name and address on a note in the box with a brief explanation to let us know why you are returning the item.

If we supply you with a damaged/faulty item, the item is not as described, or if it has been miss-sold we will pay for the return delivery and issue a full refund.

Goods that are returned back to us are the customer's responsibility. If goods are returned to us and are damaged it is your responsibility to claim the cost back from the courier. Please ensure goods are well packed when returning them back to us to prevent any complications.

I've painted/repainted stove a couple of times now. Always look fresh and pristine after painting. Stove Bright offer a range of colours but it's always a hard choice as to go 'back to black or add a splash of colour!!! I have a small Villager Duo and 1 can just about does it (2 coats). Preparation is key....like most things lol. 2 coats is sufficient, cure paint as per instructions and there you have it!! I haven't tried other brands as Stove Bright works plus they have a range of colours.

Recommended!

However much time you take to shake the paint before use, spray two short bursts away from the item to be painted, to clear a fluid that always seems to be present. Sometimes the spray does come out in drops, but that may be my fault in not shaking the can enough during use, and the drops of paint always seem to flatten out and are not visible once dry. Other than that, the spray is easy to use and gives a really nice finish and I would highly recommend it.
