This fire basket does not come with a fire grate as standard, this must be bought separately as a solid fuel kit.

It is suitable for homes running on natural gas and requires installation into a Class 1 flue (real chimney). If choosing the gas fire option an air vent won't be necessary in the room as the gas input is 6.9kw.

If you prefer to use solid fuel, a dedicated solid fuel kit is available separately. This kit includes a grate and ashpan, allowing you to burn wood and coal in the Matrix basket. However, it's important to note that fully polished cast iron is not recommended for solid fuel use, as it may result in discoloration.
