Introducing Vitcas Premium Fire Cement in a convenient 2kg tub, designed for versatile use in a variety of applications. This ready-mixed fire cement is rated to withstand temperatures of up to 1250ºC, making it ideal for patching and repairing fire bricks, fireplaces, solid fuel ovens, range cookers, boilers, and central heating systems.
Key Features:
- High Temperature Resistance: Vitcas Premium Fire Cement is formulated to withstand temperatures of up to 1250ºC, ensuring durability and long-lasting performance in high-heat environments.
- Ready-Mixed Consistency: With a putty-like consistency, this fire cement is ready to use straight from the tub, eliminating the need for additional mixing and preparation.
- Versatile Applications: This fire cement is suitable for a wide range of applications, including sealing and jointing internal flue pipes, repairing small cracks and damage on firebricks, firebacks, fireplaces, gas cookers, stoves, ranges, central heating systems, and boilers.
- Easy Application: Simply apply the fire cement with a trowel, knife, or by hand, working it well into the area to be repaired. Fine joints can be easily achieved for seamless results.
- Curing Time: With a curing time of 12 hours, Vitcas Premium Fire Cement sets quickly to provide efficient repairs and lasting protection against high temperatures.
Preparation and Application:
Ensure that the area to be repaired is clean, free from dirt, dust, and rust for maximum adhesion. Apply the fire cement directly from the tub, working it into the area to be repaired. Gently heat dry the repaired surfaces as soon as possible, gradually raising the heat to full operating temperature over 3-4 hours. Apply additional fire cement to any fine cracks that may appear to ensure complete coverage and protection.
Storage and Safety:
Store any unused fire cement in a cool, dry place away from children and pets. In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Wear suitable gloves and eye/face protection during application to avoid skin and eye irritation. Keep out of reach of children.
Limitations:
Not suitable for prolonged contact with water; use Heatproof Screed or Outdoor Oven Cement for external applications. Not intended for use as a mortar; use Vitcas Heatproof Mortar for mortar applications. Not suitable for use as a render; use Vitcas Fireplace Render for rendering purposes.
