These are very nice looking tiles for the price. I have laid them next to a border made up of some incredibly expensive Jackfield victorian "minton" tiles and they work really well, looking a lot more expensive than they are! I used them for the area likely to receive a battering from the fire and logs etc - which I didn't want to subject Jackfield tiles to.

We used these for a hearth where we then installed a cast iron gas stove. So far we have had no problems with them and they look great. Only one grouch: although they were packaged with an excess of polystyrene beads these were not placed UNDER the tiles in the box, only on top and round the sides, so several tiles were broken on arrival, However, we had enough to start the jobs and the broken ones were replaced quickly without fuss.
