Thanks for your question, the tiles are glazed which means they results in a shiny finish, certainly not matt.

The tile thickness is 8mm, you can use normal tiles spacers to space them apart. We think 1mm spacing looks the best when used on hearths.

We do not offer free samples however if you add 1 tile to your basket and opt for collection at checkout we will post it to you so you will just need to pay for the tile but no postage.
